Search “Asian brothel near me” and roughly half of what comes back is not a brothel. It is an agency listing, a directory page, or a mobile number with a stock photo attached. Some of those are fine. Some will take a deposit and stop answering. This page is about telling the difference before you get in the car, using checks that take a couple of minutes.
Why the results are so mixed
A walk-in venue has a building, a reception desk and a landline. An agency has a phone and a website. On a search results page they look the same: a name, a few photos, a suburb. Directories make it worse, because they list both side by side and rank whoever pays.
“Asian” searches are hit hardest. The word gets used as a label on listings that have nothing to do with a real venue, because it is what people search for. So the search term that should narrow things down ends up pulling in the most noise.
None of this means agencies are all scams. Plenty run properly. But if what you want is to walk into a place, see who is on and pay at the desk, you want a venue, and the checks below will find one.
Six things to check
| What you check | Established venue | Typical agency listing |
|---|---|---|
| Address | A street address you can put into your maps app and drive to | A suburb name, “incall/outcall”, or an address sent only after you pay |
| Phone | A landline answered by reception | A mobile number, often text-only |
| Prices | Published on the site, same for everyone | “From” prices, or “message for rates” |
| Payment | Paid at reception when you arrive | Deposit up front by bank transfer, gift card or crypto |
| How long it has been there | Years at the same address, reviews that go back that far | A new site or new number every few months |
| Photos | The roster changes daily and the site changes with it | The same set of photos for months, sometimes across several listings |
You do not need all six. An address you can drive to, a landline that someone answers, and prices on the page will rule out most of the problem listings on their own.
The address test
This is the fastest one. Put the address into your maps app. A real venue gives you a street and a number, and street view shows a building with somewhere to park. If the listing only gives a suburb, or tells you the address comes “after booking”, you are not looking at a walk-in venue.
For us that is 3 Leslie Court, Burwood: a quiet court off Burwood Highway with free parking at the door. It has been the same address since 2009.
The phone test
Call the number. A venue has someone at reception who can tell you, right then, who is on and how long the wait is. An agency number is usually a mobile, and a lot of them only reply by text, sometimes an hour later.
Ask a plain question: “Who is on now, and what does 30 minutes cost?” A venue answers both straight away. If you get a vague answer on price, or a request to pay something first, hang up.
Money: when and how you pay
This is where people actually lose money. At a walk-in venue you pay when you arrive, at reception, for the booking you just chose. Nobody asks for a deposit to “hold” a lady, and nobody asks for gift cards.
Our rates are the same all day and are on the website: $110, $130, $180 and $230 for 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes with one lady, or $210, $250, $350 and $450 with two. No door charge. If a listing will not tell you its price until you have paid something, that is your answer.
Photos and the roster
An established Asian venue has a roster that changes day to day, and the website moves with it. Ladies come on, go off and take breaks, so a page that looks exactly the same for six months is a warning sign, not a comfort. We do not name anyone in these articles for that reason. Check today’s girls and the weekly roster for who is actually in.
One more thing to look at: reverse image search a photo or two. If the same picture turns up on three listings in three suburbs, it belongs to none of them.
What “Asian venue” means in Melbourne’s east
In the eastern suburbs the choice is small. Between Hawthorn and the Dandenongs there are only a handful of walk-in venues, and Burwood sits in the middle of Box Hill, Glen Waverley and Chadstone. If you are in that stretch, the wider picture of what is nearby is in our brothel near me guide for Melbourne’s east, and what an Asian venue here is like from the inside is on our Asian brothel Melbourne page.
Visiting is legal for anyone over 18: sex work in Victoria was fully decriminalised in December 2023. Registration number SWA7043BE is one more thing you can check, alongside how long a venue has been at its address.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I tell if an Asian brothel listing is a real venue?
Check for a street address you can drive to, a landline answered by reception, and prices published on the site. A real venue has all three. A listing with only a suburb name, a text-only mobile and “message for rates” is usually an agency or a directory page.
Should I ever pay a deposit before visiting?
Not for a walk-in venue. You pay at reception when you arrive. Requests for a deposit by bank transfer, gift card or crypto are the most common way people lose money on these searches.
Are agencies illegal in Victoria?
No. Sex work in Victoria was fully decriminalised in December 2023. The issue is not legality but whether the person on the other end of the listing is who they say they are.
Where is the nearest established Asian venue in Melbourne's east?
Pussycats at 3 Leslie Court, Burwood, trading from the same address since 2009, with free parking at the door. Burwood sits between Box Hill, Glen Waverley and Chadstone.
How much does a booking cost?
With one lady: $110 for 20 minutes, $130 for 30, $180 for 45 and $230 for 60. With two ladies: $210, $250, $350 and $450. No door charge.
How do I know who is working tonight?
Check today’s girls or the weekly roster on the website, or call (03) 9808 5855. The roster changes every day, so check on the day rather than relying on an older screenshot.
