It is half past midnight, you have typed “brothel near me” and ticked the Open now filter, and Google has given you a list you do not trust. Fair enough. Opening hours are the single most unreliable piece of information on the internet about this industry, and the Open now label is only as good as whatever someone last typed into a listing. Here is what is actually open late in Melbourne’s east, how to check any venue in under a minute, and what changes about a visit after midnight.
Why the “Open now” filter cannot be trusted
Three things go wrong at once. Listings go stale, because nobody updates a Google profile the week they change their closing time. Agencies with no premises show up alongside venues that have a door, and an agency is “open” whenever someone answers a phone. And directory sites copy hours from each other, so one wrong entry from 2019 is still being repeated on six pages today.
There is also a second question hiding inside the first one. “Is it open” and “is anyone there” are not the same thing. A venue can be trading at 1am with a thin roster, which is not what you drove over for. The only way to settle both is a phone call, which takes about twenty seconds.
If you want the longer version of how the eastern suburbs actually sit on a map, we went through it in brothel near me: Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, and the wider city picture is in our Melbourne brothel guide.
Our hours, in full
Pussycats has traded from 3 Leslie Court, Burwood since 2009, and the hours have not moved in years. Every day of the year, including public holidays.
| Day | Open | Close |
|---|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | 11:00am | 2:30am |
| Friday | 11:00am | 3:00am |
| Saturday | 11:00am | 3:00am |
| Sunday | 11:00am | 2:30am |
| Public holidays | 11:00am | Same as that day of the week |
Eleven in the morning until half past two the next morning is a long day, and the last three hours of it are the quietest part of the week outside Friday and Saturday. If you dislike a busy waiting room, late on a Monday or Tuesday is the answer.
What time do you actually need to arrive?
Closing time is when the doors shut, not when the last booking starts. Work backwards from the length of the booking you want: an hour at 2:30am close means arriving with an hour to spare, plus a few minutes at reception and for a shower. A twenty-minute booking gives you far more room.
Two habits save a wasted drive. Call first and ask two questions: are you still taking bookings, and who is on. Reception answers both directly. And if you are coming from further out, check before you leave rather than when you arrive, because the answer at 11pm and the answer at 1:30am can be different on a quiet night.
The Friday and Saturday half-hour is worth knowing about. Closing moves from 2:30am to 3:00am on those two nights, which sounds minor until you are the person deciding whether a 2am arrival is pointless. It is not, on a Friday. It is tighter on a Wednesday.
What to have sorted before you leave: the length of booking you want, whether you would rather one lady or two, and payment. Deciding those in the car rather than at reception is the difference between a smooth late visit and standing at the desk doing arithmetic at 1am. Nothing else needs preparing. No ID is taken, no booking reference exists, and nothing is written down with your name on it.
Why late-night agency listings look so convincing
The listings that survive a midnight search are usually the ones with the most effort behind them, and effort is not the same as substance. A page with a booking form, twenty photographs and a phone number answered on the second ring can still be an agency with no premises, sending someone to an address you do not choose. That is a different transaction to walking into a venue, and it is priced differently.
The tell is what the page will not commit to. No street number. No published rates, only “from” a figure. Availability described as “24/7”, which no venue with a door and a roster can honestly claim. Photographs that never change, or change all at once in a batch. None of this is illegal, and some agencies are perfectly straight, but if you searched for a place to drive to, a page that avoids naming its own address has already answered your question.
How far away you are
Leslie Court is a quiet court just off Burwood Highway. These are straight-line distances, so the drive is a little longer, but they give you the honest picture of what “near me” means from the eastern suburbs.
| Suburb | Distance to Burwood |
|---|---|
| Chadstone | About 2.8 km |
| Box Hill | About 4.3 km |
| Glen Waverley | About 5.0 km |
| Oakleigh | About 5.1 km |
| Blackburn | About 5.4 km |
| Doncaster | About 8.3 km |
Parking is free, off-street and at the door, which matters more at 1am than it does at 1pm. There is no shopfront on the main road and no foot traffic past the entrance. If you are coming from the Box Hill side, the Box Hill page has the routes in detail; the same for Burwood itself.
Getting there late without a car
Tram 75 runs the length of Burwood Highway between Vermont South and the city, and passes within walking distance. The bus routes near us are 201, 732, 766, 767 and 768, which all connect Box Hill station and Deakin University, plus 281 from Templestowe, 734 between Glen Iris and Glen Waverley station, and the 903 SmartBus.
The catch is obvious: public transport thins out after midnight and the timetable, not our closing time, decides your last trip home. Check the current PTV timetable for the night you are going, and if the last service leaves before you plan to, drive or take a rideshare. A taxi or rideshare into a quiet residential court is about as discreet as arrivals get. There is more on the public transport approach in getting to Burwood by train.
Late-night visits: what is different, and what is not
- Rates do not change after midnight. 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes cost $110, $130, $180 and $230 with one lady, and $210, $250, $350 and $450 with two. No late surcharge, no cover charge.
- The roster is smaller. Fewer ladies are on at 1am than at 9pm. This is the real reason to call instead of turning up hopeful.
- Reception still runs the same way. Private waiting lounge, introductions one at a time, payment at reception, shower before the room. Nothing is rushed because it is late.
- Cards and cash both work. Same at 1am as at midday.
- The legal position does not change with the clock. Sex work in Victoria was fully decriminalised in December 2023 and visiting is legal for anyone over 18, at any hour.
A one-minute check on any venue, not just ours
- Find a street address, not a suburb. “Box Hill area” is not an address. A venue you can walk into has a door and a number.
- Call it. If nobody picks up at 11pm, it is not open at 1am either, whatever the listing says.
- Look for written rates. Published prices are the clearest sign of a straight operator. “Ring for pricing” at midnight usually means the price depends on how tired you sound.
- Check how old the roster looks. A site updated this morning is run by someone who is there. A site with the same faces as last winter is not.
- Never send money before you arrive. No established Melbourne venue asks for a deposit, a transfer or a gift card to hold a booking.
For the record, we trade under SWA7043BE and have done from the same address since 2009, which is the boring kind of continuity you want at one in the morning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a brothel near me open now in Melbourne's east?
Pussycats at 3 Leslie Court, Burwood is open every day from 11am, until 2:30am Sunday to Thursday and until 3:00am on Friday and Saturday, including public holidays. Call (03) 9808 5855 to confirm the last booking of the night before you drive over.
How late can I arrive and still get a booking?
Work backwards from the length you want. Closing time is when the doors shut, not when the last booking starts, so an hour-long booking needs you there with an hour plus a few minutes to spare. A 20-minute booking is much more flexible. Reception will tell you the cut-off if you call.
Why do Google's opening hours for these venues seem wrong?
Because listings go stale, agencies without premises appear alongside venues that have one, and directory sites copy each other’s hours. The Open now filter only reflects what someone last typed into a profile. A phone call settles it in twenty seconds.
Are prices higher late at night?
No. The published rates apply at any hour: $110, $130, $180 and $230 for 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes with one lady, and $210, $250, $350 and $450 with two. There is no late surcharge and no cover charge.
Can I get there late by public transport?
Tram 75 runs along Burwood Highway, and buses 201, 732, 766, 767, 768, 281, 734 and the 903 SmartBus serve the area. Services thin out after midnight, so check the current PTV timetable for your return trip. Most late visitors drive; parking is free and at the door.
Is it legal to visit late at night?
Yes. Sex work in Victoria was fully decriminalised in December 2023, and the time of day makes no difference. Anyone aged 18 or over can visit.
