Brothel Near Clayton — and the Rest of Melbourne’s South-East

Clayton has no licensed adult venue of its own. This page says where the nearest one is, how long the drive takes from each suburb, and what it costs when you get there.

There Is No Brothel in Clayton

That is the short answer, and it is worth saying plainly because a lot of pages on this subject
dance around it. Clayton has a large student population from Monash, a dense Chinese and South Asian
community, and no licensed adult venue of its own. Neither does Notting Hill, Oakleigh or Mulgrave.
The nearest established licensed Asian brothel is Pussycats in Burwood — about fifteen minutes up
Blackburn Road, or a similar run along Ferntree Gully Road and Burwood Highway.

What you will find advertised closer to Clayton is mostly massage. Some of it is legitimate massage.
None of it is a licensed brothel, and the difference is not cosmetic — it decides what is legal,
what is included in the price, and whether anyone is regulating the hygiene. We set out
the distinction here.

The Run from Clayton to Burwood

  • By car — Blackburn Road north to Burwood Highway, roughly fifteen minutes outside peak.
Free parking at the door in Leslie Court; no meters, no ticket machine.
  • From Monash Clayton — about twelve minutes via Wellington Road and Blackburn Road.
  • From Oakleigh or Huntingdale — twenty minutes via Warrigal Road and the highway.
  • Without a car — the 75 tram runs the length of Burwood Highway; the
train and tram directions cover it properly.

Why Gentlemen Drive Across from the South-East

Three reasons come up again and again at reception. The first is the photographs: every image on the
weekly roster is taken and verified in-house, so the lady who opens the door is
the one in the picture. The second is the roster itself — Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and
Vietnamese ladies rotating daily rather than the same handful of faces month after month. The third is
that the price is printed: $110 for twenty minutes, $230 for an hour, room hire and lady fee together.

The fourth, unstated but real, is discretion. Clayton and Oakleigh are tight communities. Leslie
Court is an industrial cul-de-sac with no foot traffic and parking off the street — a fifteen
minute drive buys a lot of anonymity.

What a Booking Costs

20 minutes · 1 lady$110
30 minutes · 1 lady$130
45 minutes · 1 lady$180
60 minutes · 1 lady$230
20 minutes · 2 ladies$210

60 minutes · 2 ladies$450

Totals include room hire and lady fee, GST included. Two-lady bookings start at $210. Cash is the
common choice and there is an ATM on Burwood Highway on the way in; card payment at reception carries a
neutral business name.

The Eastern and South-Eastern Suburbs We Cover

Pussycats draws regularly from Clayton, Notting Hill, Mulgrave, Oakleigh, Glen Waverley, Mount
Waverley, Blackburn, Box Hill, Doncaster and Ringwood. If you searched for a brothel near you anywhere
in that arc, Burwood is almost certainly the closest licensed Asian venue.

  • Mount Waverley — straight up Blackburn Road, under fifteen minutes
  • Box Hill — ten minutes along Burwood Highway, open late every night
  • Chadstone — fifteen minutes, a quiet stop after the shops
  • Doncaster — the Manningham run, about fifteen minutes
  • Burwood itself — the full guide to the venue and the area

Discretion, Because Clayton Is a Small World

A fair share of the gentlemen who come up from Clayton, Oakleigh and Springvale say some version of
the same thing: they did not want to be seen. Leslie Court is an industrial dead-end off Burwood
Highway with no shopfront, no signage facing a main road and no foot traffic. You park at the door
rather than on a street. There are no cameras in private areas. Card payments show a neutral business
name on the statement, never the venue, and cash is what most people use anyway — there is an ATM
on Burwood Highway a minute before the turn.

What Happens When You Arrive

You come in through the private entrance and reception takes you to a lounge. You are introduced to
the ladies available in person rather than shown a folder, and there is no charge and no pressure for
looking. Once you have chosen, the length and the total are confirmed before any money changes hands.
Every booking starts with a shower, and standard service — massage, kissing and full service
— is covered by the printed price. Anything beyond that is agreed with the lady beforehand, not
in the room.

The Law, Briefly

Victoria decriminalised sex work in two stages — the first tranche in May 2022, the rest on
1 December 2023. In practice that shifted the industry from a licensing regime policed by a special
authority to ordinary business regulation: planning rules, WorkSafe, and the same health obligations
that apply anywhere else. It did not make the distinction between a regulated venue and an unregulated
one disappear. It made it easier to see, because a compliant venue now has nothing to be coy about.

It also means a licence number is now a history lesson rather than a current requirement. Ours,
SWA7043BE, dates from the old regime and is still displayed — not because the paperwork is current,
but because a venue that held one continuously from 2009 has a record you can check. What matters today
is the same three things it always did: safe practice is not negotiable, rooms should be cleaned between
bookings rather than between shifts, and the price should be stated before you commit. A venue that is
vague about any of the three is telling you what it is.

First Time? Read This Bit

Walk-ins are welcome every day of the year, day and night. Ring (03) 9808 5855 first if you want a particular
lady — reception will tell you who is on, when she finishes and who is similar if she is not.
Rooms are cleaned and linen changed after every booking, showers are available before and after, and
safe practice is house policy without exception. The licence number is SWA7043BE. The two-minute
etiquette guide covers the rest.
