Inside the venue

Leslie Court is a short industrial cul-de-sac, so arriving is undramatic. Park at the door, ring the bell, walk in. There is no signage to read and no one on the street to walk past.

You are taken to a private lounge rather than a shared waiting room on display. Reception talks you through who is available and what each booking costs, and does not push whoever happens to be free. If you have a lady in mind from the roster, say so at the door and you will get a straight answer about whether she is in.

Bookings begin with a shower. Rooms are cleaned and re-made after every single visit. Payment is cash or card, card appears under a neutral name, and there are no cameras in any private area of the building.

Reception has been doing this for years and has heard every question already, so asking one is not the social risk it feels like from outside.

Directions and parking

We are at 3 Leslie Court, Burwood VIC 3125, a few hundred metres off Burwood Highway. The car park is on site, free, and right at the entrance, which matters more than it sounds when the alternative is a metered space on a main road.

For the suburbs that send us the most regulars there are dedicated pages with distances and routes: Glen Waverley, Chadstone and Oakleigh. Chadstone is about three kilometres away, Box Hill four, Glen Waverley, Oakleigh and Blackburn about five, Doncaster eight.

Public transport works too. Tram 75 runs along Burwood Highway; Box Hill Station on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines connects to buses 201, 732, 766, 767 and 768. From the CBD by car it is about twenty-five minutes on the M1.

Being discreet about it

Leslie Court is industrial and ends in a dead end, so the only traffic is traffic with a reason to be there. That is most of the privacy problem solved before you have got out of the car.

The rest: unmarked entrance, private lounge rather than a shared corridor, no cameras in private areas, and a card charge that reads as a neutral business name on a statement.

Nobody at reception asks for a name or a number, and there is no membership requirement, sign-in book or anything else that leaves a trace of a visit.

Checking who is in

Two-lady bookings run from $210 for twenty minutes to $450 for the hour, which is well short of double. They are the house speciality and have been for years.

Reception will also tell you which pairs actually work well together, which is not something a website can usefully answer and is the main reason the phone call is worth thirty seconds.

Hours

Sunday to Thursday: 11:00am to 2:30am. Friday and Saturday: 11:00am to 3:00am. Every day of the year, with no exceptions for holidays.

The quietest hours are between opening and about four in the afternoon. If waiting is the thing you want to avoid, that is the window.

Payment and what it covers

One payment at reception covers the room and the lady for the time you booked. Cash and card are both accepted; the card charge is under a neutral business name.

Nothing is added mid-booking for standard service. If you want something outside that, it is agreed up front so there is no conversation about money once you are in the room.

Prices are the same for every lady on the roster, so choosing between names is a question of who you want to meet rather than what you can afford.

Local rather than central

Plenty of regulars here live closer to a city venue and drive out anyway. The reasons they give are consistent: parking, the entrance, and not sharing a waiting room with a crowd.

The eastern suburbs are thin on established venues, so most of the traffic to Leslie Court comes from Glen Waverley, Chadstone, Oakleigh and the suburbs around them rather than from far away.

Distances are short. Chadstone is about three kilometres, Box Hill four, Glen Waverley and Oakleigh about five, Doncaster eight – all of it well under fifteen minutes outside peak hour.
